TREES PLANTED

Make mud-pies … Jump in puddles … Climb trees … Lie in the grass

Build a fort …Run barefoot

Play in the rain … Reach for the stars … Imagine

Tread gently … Sleep soundly

Sarah Page is the Environmental Teacher at St Francis Xavier Primary School in Ballarat East. In fact, Sarah is so wonderful at her job that she wears the title of Environmental Teacher of 2015! This says so much about Sarah and her work at the school. Over the years, Sarah and her students have planted the most amazing garden. It is a garden of mature exotic trees, native trees and what every primary school needs – fruit trees! villamaria Maree and Brian Harrison from Harrison Funerals support local schools by providing them with mature trees for their school grounds. Fifteen Trees plants one mature tree for every cremation service at the funeral home. Over the years, their trees have gone to schools such as St Columba Primary School, Ballarat Specialist School , and Mt Clear Primary School. This year, St Francis Xavier, planted 20 fruit trees courtesy of the Harrisons. The trees were a collection of apple, pear, lemon and peaches. Thank you Maree and Brian for your generosity and for making such a difference to the school grounds of many schools in Ballarat. Sláinte- Colleen

At the heart of every nunnery is, of course, charity. We love our partnership with the Brigidine Sisters and are impressed with their passion to give. That’s a long history of giving from these remarkable women, and we are not only benefactors of this kindness, as their other philanthropy does ripple out to myriad of other organisations as well.
