We can help you reduce your carbon footprint by planting trees on your behalf. The trees are planted by community groups and sourced from local native nurseries.
Trees cost $9.65, and that includes a tree guard. The tree guard helps create a micro-climate around the young tree, protecting it for the critical first 12 -18 months, while the tree establishes its root system.
Here’s a few ideas to get you thinking.
To reduce the carbon footprint of your flights, we can plant 1 tree for every hour ‘in the air’. For example, if you are flying to Japan, it will take you 8 hours. That’s 8 trees to be planted. If you are returning, we will need to plant 16 trees.
To help you run a sustainable party or event, purchase one tree for every guest attending. With enough notice, we can have your trees planted and the website updated, for you to highlight on the day.
We can plant any number of trees as gifts for your family and friends. Ensure to tell us their name and if you’d like to send us a brief message, we’ll include it in the blogpost. We also have beautiful gift cards (Someone loves you and the planet) that we send as a PDF or in the mail.
To reduce the carbon footprint of your car, you need to annually plant 15 trees. We can do this on your behalf. If you would like a car sticker (I’m reducing my carbon footprint with Fifteen Trees) let us know and we’ll post one out to you.
According to Sustainability Victoria, we each need to plant 60 trees per year to reduce our carbon footprint. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards. This is where Fifteen Trees comes in. We can plant these 60 trees on your behalf. Trees are planted by Australian community groups.
