Mature trees at Mt Clear PS (Vic).
TREES PLANTED
Maree and Brian Harrison from Harrison Funerals (Ballarat) support our local community in many ways, one of which is to provide mature trees to schools and public areas in the district. Over the course of our 4 year partnership, the Harrisons have provided over 150 mature trees to places such as Learmonth Community Gardens, Villa Maria PS, Mt Clear College, Ross Creek PS, the Garibaldi Reserve and now Mt Clear Primary School. That is a huge number of trees – thank you Maree and Brian.
On National Tree Day for Schools (Friday July 25th), students at Mt Clear PS planted out 10 mature trees. They were assisted by parents and grandparents. The day was organised by the fabulous Cynthia Davidson and her Environmental Team (made up of students from across the school).
More of Harrison’s trees to come – over the next few weeks we are planting at Villa Maria, Ballarat Specialist School and Mt Clear College.

WPA acknowledges that when it comes to environmental initiatives, its people are its strength. It has recently partnered with us to plant 15 trees for each hard-working staff member identified as a Sustainability Warrior.

Tasman Cottage already gives you a chance to reconnect with nature, yet its manager Nick has taken an important next step. He recently purchased 150 trees in collaboration with us here at Fifteen Trees, an action which ensures vital habitat for our native fauna, such as the unique Tassie Devil.
