Millers Bread Kitchen is helping to restore habitat, strengthen local biodiversity, and care for the natural landscapes that make the Mornington Peninsula so loved.

Most of us fly into Tasmania. And millions of us do it for the sole purpose of basking in its unique natural wonders and breathing in some of the clearest air in the world. It’s satisfying to think that one of its primary gatekeepers, Hobart Airport, is doing its bit to make Tasmania just that bit greener.

Revegetating this area is helping to creating a habitat corridor along an existing creek bed. The planting will also minimise erosion, give a boost to biodiversity and also provide food for native creatures from small macro-invertebrates to our iconic platypus.

CAVAL annually support our community tree planting projects by purchasing trees for us to distribute to community groups to plant. This year, we planted 90 trees on their behalf at Hindmarsh in South Australia and another 10 at the Kaarakin Cockatoo Conservation Centre in WA.

This year, AXIS Employment has added another layer to their community commitment by purchasing 100 native trees for planting in the Ballarat district. It’s a gesture that reflects the values at the heart of their organisation –  we include, we achieve, we care  – extended to the landscape they and their participants call home.
