Neu21. Planting it Forward.

To thank their clients for 2022, Neu21 gave the gift of a lifetime to the planet: 500 trees planted on Phillip Island, Victoria’s Bass Coast. Five hundred indigenous trees, over time, will capture 1.34 tonnes of carbon dioxide. Climate action at its best!

Neu21 believes in the future. Their focus is on creating better systems and workplaces, and encouraging bold thinking via consulting services. The company is all about building a culture of innovation that continuously exceeds customer expectations, where people are proactive and purposeful in their attitude and approach.

Using Design Thinking and Strategic Foresight, Nue21 helps organisations to think and act with curiosity, courage and creativity, and provide the skills to create exciting solutions that drive change. An impressive client list includes big hitters such as TAC, Monash University and IXL, and their consulting services pillars include agility training, innovation consulting & strategy, adaptive leadership consulting, and organisation design & development consulting.

In what is now an ongoing Christmas tradition, Neu21 are purchasing trees on the behalf of and in gratitude to their clients’ patronage. And of course, we love this idea!

At the end of last year, we tried a festive experiment: instead of sending physical gifts and cards to clients, we decided to plant 500 trees on their behalf. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and our ‘plant it forward’ movement has inspired other organisations to do the same.

So, this festive season, we’ll continue our movement to thank you for your support throughout 2022, but this time we’re ‘planting it forward’, as our pledge to ongoing action.

Planting it forward is also a metaphor to represent our commitment to continuously regenerating our own organisational system, our personal relationships, our wellbeing, our client and partner environment we’re part of, and our impact on the planet through the work we do and the actions we take.

Our amazing friends at Fifteen Trees are once again helping us this year and we’re planting another 500 trees, this time in the centre of Philip Island, Victoria, traditional land of the Bunurong People.

We hope you, your team, family and friends have a wonderful festive season.

See you in the new year

The rugged and mesmerising Phillip Island is a wealth of biological diversity.

The 500 native plants (including Swamp Gum, Black Wattle, Prickly Moses, and Kangaroo Apple) were planted on Phillip Island, by the incredible team at Phillip Island Landcare. The trees will contribute to habitat linkages for animals to travel across, enhance biodiversity and the health of the landscape, as well as assist in filtering water and reducing sediment.

The site is located adjacent to Saltwater Creek and is a low lying area which is a rich bird breeding habitat. The site provides a vegetation link adjacent to a biolink corridor which features animals such as wallabies, echidna, possums, reptiles and copperhead snakes.

This island is known by its Traditional Owners as the Bunurong, Millow. It is all part of Victoria’s Kulin Nation and is steeped in a cultural history dating back tens of thousands of years.

Tree planting day was a community affair.

The purchase of these trees by Neu21 is such a valuable contribution to the local environment on Phillip Island. Such generosity assists in the rehabilitation and regeneration of our local landscape, while also providing habitats for many native species. It also brings our community together to care for the land. We look forward to watching these trees grow and thrive over the coming years!

Thank you Neu21 for initiating this Christmas tradition. Here’s the links to their trees from, 2018, 2019, 2021 and trees from earlier in 2022. Taking their tally of trees to 1,800! A Neu21 forest!
