TREES PLANTED

Love Your Insides. Love The Earth.”

At Pana Chocolate, they want their chocolate not only to be good for you, but also want to be kind to our earth. And they have been making good with that statement by supporting the work of Fifteen Trees for the past 3 years. Pana Barbounis is founder of Pana Chocolate. In 2013, for his birthday Pana organised a group of family and friends to help plant 1,000 trees at Flowerdale. And by helped plant I mean helped plant.  In 2014, another 10,000 trees were planted in the same district across a couple of landcare member’s properties and public reserves at Strath Creek and Flowerdale. Again Pana was out in the hills planting trees. To date, Pana has helped 15,000 trees find their way into the ground. And planting season isn’t over yet! This winter, Pana committed to personally planting trees at 3 great locations (Brisbane Ranges and Flowerdale in Victoria and Botany Bay National Park in NSW). His wonderful staff, Imogen, Amanda and Ashleigh put the call out to his many followers and last weekend saw 40 people rock up to plant 4,000 trees at  the Brisbane Ranges, Victoria. “What a great job the volunteers with Pana Chocolates did with the large scale tree planting in the Brisbane Ranges. It was a great day and the gully running down from Granite Road to the River is going to look superb when those trees start peeping over the guards! The group were great fun and did an expert job at planting and guarding the trees on a warm sunny Springy day!  The planted site looks fabulous and provides a vegetative link between two areas of remnant vegetation. Thank you to Pana and his merry band of tree planters! Your support is greatly appreciated”. Neil Day (President of the Brisbane Ranges Landcare Group). Pana Barbounis founded Pana Chocolate in Melbourne with the intention of creating a luxurious vegan, organic chocolate with no refined sugar. Now that he is moving into helping conservation projects a whole lotta trees are getting planted. Slainte (Irish for cheers) – Colleen
