Hello Colleen, Please find attached a photo of Baw Baw Shire’s National Tree Day event at Brooker Park, Warragul on Sunday 30th July. Funds from Fifteen Trees were used to continue restoration works along Hazel Creek. In total 1030 plants were installed by community volunteers, 300 of which were supplied by supporters of Fifteen Trees. A combination of trees, shrubs and grasses were installed to replicate the vegetation type that previously occurred at the site. A total of 53 volunteers participated on the day, making a significant contribution to improving the local environment. Massive thank you to Yogaville and your support of Fifteen Trees, and in turn … us! Restoring Australian ecosystems. Supporting communities with their revegetation projects for a greener and healthier planet.
Fifteen Trees acknowledges Indigenous Australians as the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, live and play.
We recognise that Indigenous Australians have cared for and lived in harmony with this land for millennia, and their knowledge and wisdom of the land endures.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and stand in solidarity as Indigenous Australians seek a fairer and more sustainable future for the land and its people.
