Villa Maria Primary School, Ballarat.

TREES PLANTED

With the support of  G.J. Gardner Homes Ballarat, local primary school students from St Francis Xavier planted 180 native trees on their school grounds. Sustainability Teacher, Sarah Page coordinated the day which coincided with National Tree Day. Throughout the day, students came out of their class rooms to plant a tree. Sarah started with a ‘how to plant a tree’ session and with lots of parents on hand to help, all trees were in the ground by the end of the day.                   A huge thank you to Rob and his team from the Ballarat office who worked tirelessly all day to provide some much needed muscle to the proceedings. G.J. Gardener Homes in Victoria and Tasmania has committed to pay for 8,000 trees this calender year. These 180 are just a start.
