Well planted natives along the fence line.
Teresa from the Central Highlands district of Victoria has planted out 60 trees courtesy of Andrew Grant from  Golden Nugget Discovery Tours (15 trees) and Tony Douglass from Hocking Stuart Real Estate (45 trees). Teresa writes ‘Hello Colleen, We have really appreciated and loved putting these trees in and we would like to thank you for organising this program and to the people and business involved that allow for us to plant these trees. They are already making a great addition to our fence line, hoping to encourage birds (later) and protection/shelter for the native animals. The view will be great and all round it is a wonderful thing everyone is doing’.
Both companies are to be commended for the funding of the  60 trees  that would not have otherwise had ‘made it into the ground’.Cheers – ColleenThe number of trees planted with the assistance of Fifteen Trees supporters – 6750.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

‘Sometimes there are really simple things everyone can do to reduce their carbon footprint. When staying at a hotel, choosing to skip the room cleaning and having a tree planted instead, is one of those things’. Hugo from Hotels for Trees.

‘We’re thrilled to team up with Fifteen Trees in this crucial effort. Koalas are an iconic Australian species, and with increasing threats to their natural environment, it’s never been more important to ensure they have access to suitable habitats.Planting these trees is just the beginning of a broader initiative to safeguard their future’. 5,040 TREES PLANTED

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.
