Sprout. Giving the gift of trees.

Sprout quite literally means ‘to send out new growth’, and this is what they do! In partnership with their clients, they drive growth with better tools, new methods, and smart industry folks. And now they have partnered with Fifteen Trees ‘to send out new growth’ into the Daintree Rainforest of far north Queensland.

TREES PLANTED

180

Combining behavioural science, research techniques and technology advancements, Sprout Strategy create new and better methods that deliver completely new insights. The company has clients across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. As a thank you to those clients for working with them this year, and in partnership with Fifteen Trees, Sprout has organised the planting of 180 native trees.

The trees were planted by Daintree Life, along with local volunteers who all live and work in the beautiful Daintree Rainforest, QLD. Daintree Life is a small conservation group who have been planting trees in the Daintree since 2018. They firmly believe in restoring and expanding natural habitat for wildlife. Founders, Connie and Mike Pinson, work closely with Queensland Parks and Wildlife, removing introduced grasses and weeds in the National Park to restore food resources and ecological function. Funding from Sprout Strategy has enabled them to continue with their revegetation work.

For those who have been lucky enough to visit the Daintree Rainforest, we know what a special place it is. Dated as over 135 million years old, making it the oldest rainforest in the world, it is something well worth preserving. But what you might not know is that it is one of the most diverse rainforests in the world. A massive percentage of Australia’s entire animal population calls it home, including 30% of our frog population, 65% of butterfly and bats species, and an incredible 12,000 different types of insects.

This diverse wonderful place must be protected on those facts alone.

The trees are propagated by local indigenous nurseries.

The Daintree Rainforest provides hope, it has survived 120 million years of climate changes. But when you consider the fact that it was once a vast forest, covering the entire Australian continent, reduced now to a diminished space in comparison – it truly is time to act on preserving what we have.

We welcome Sprout’s commitment to helping restore and preserve this unique place and encourage other businesses and individuals to do the same. We know that their clients will appreciate their gift of trees.

Gifts for them. Gifts for the planet.

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

April 29, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
