On June 6th, Chris Cobern, myself and 6 volunteers from NAB planted a hill site with 150 seedlings. This site was planted 2 years ago with plants donated through Pana Chocolate. The previously planted seedlings are doing well considering they are planted on exposed sites with little topsoil. After 2 seasons survival they are likely to keep on growing and in 10 years we hope to have a visible open woodland established. On June 7th, 750 seedlings were planted at Wayne and Pam Watson’s property where the Pana Chocolate planting took place last year. This time on a gully above the creek. This was achieved with Heather, Pam and Wayne and assisted by Chris Cobern and a group of volunteers from ANZ. Thank you Pana and Colleen. A great partnership for landcare groups in our district.
