Offsetting carbon emissions at Illabarook, Victoria

They have committed to donating $1.00 from every sale from their beautiful range of jewellery, clothing and home wares. As a result of Angus & Celeste’s green vision, 80 trees have been planted by the Ballarat Environmental Network (BEN) at the Illabarook Rail Reserve (Central Victoria). The group planting the trees have written below.
Dear Colleen,
At the Illabarook Planting Day, we had members of the York St Play Group join us to have a lovely two hour planting session with their children. Cheers, and thanks once again for your terrific support; paying for the trees planted at these activities will enable our Caring for our Country grant to be driven further than originally planned.

I am delighted to have Angus & Celeste as partners with Fifteen Trees. Our aim is a simple one – to restore our native environment by supplying trees to those who are willing to do the hard work and go out to plant them.

Each year, Fifteen Trees plants native trees for every new home built by the Wodonga team. A tangible and lasting contribution to the local environment.
Chris and Sharri Longmore from G.J. Gardner Homes Shepparton are generous supporters of local community groups, and their tree planting projects. To date, Chris, Sharri and their team purchased almost 3,000 native trees for the Goulburn Valley district.
According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.
