Mildura – Northern Mallee District.

TREES PLANTED

Yelta Landcare Group in the Mallee District have been busy helping out the local Merbein Golf Club with their wildlife corridor. On Sunday 30th June, the group along with staff from local home builder G.J. Gardner,  planted out 100 trees. Trees were sourced from the Lang’s Native Nursery and were a mixture of native corymbias and eucalyptus. The scarlet-flowering and lemon-scented gums will attract the beautiful lorikeets that populate the area. Across Victoria and Tasmania, G.J. Gardner Homes are helping our native environment by paying for 15 trees for every new home built. The trees are distributed (by Fifteen Trees) to local landcare groups to plant. Individual actions really do matter! Individually we can really only make small differences to the world around us, but collectively our numbers add up. And if enough individuals are involved then forests can be grown!

We have a handful of organisations who purchase trees when they can. These organisations are masters of ingenuity when it comes to incorporating tree planting into their business practices.

70 TREES PLANTED

May 21, 2024
The Institute of Public Accounts has supported one of our revegetation projects by purchasing a tree for every attendee at their recent Victorian Conference held in Ballarat, VIC. The trees (70) were planted in the district, in the weeks following the conference.
