Mildura – Northern Mallee District.

TREES PLANTED

Yelta Landcare Group in the Mallee District have been busy helping out the local Merbein Golf Club with their wildlife corridor. On Sunday 30th June, the group along with staff from local home builder G.J. Gardner,  planted out 100 trees. Trees were sourced from the Lang’s Native Nursery and were a mixture of native corymbias and eucalyptus. The scarlet-flowering and lemon-scented gums will attract the beautiful lorikeets that populate the area. Across Victoria and Tasmania, G.J. Gardner Homes are helping our native environment by paying for 15 trees for every new home built. The trees are distributed (by Fifteen Trees) to local landcare groups to plant.
