TREES PLANTED

It is lovely to find more people getting on board to help get trees ‘into the ground’ this autumn. Celine Bonin and Ineke Humphrys have both contributed $49.50 to have 15 trees planted on their behalf. Actually Ineke gave a gift of 15 trees to her friend Therese Healy, then, jumped online again a week later and had another 4 trees planted for Joan Dickson.

Super IT wiz Kara Ferris from Simply Geeks has also given a gift of trees. She has had trees planted on her customers behalf to help collect their computer’s carbon emissions for one year (one tree for every two computers will do it).

Every now and then, I get asked to donate for a special event – this time round I was asked to plant trees on the behalf of the Ballarat East Network when they held a community meeting in March. This dynamic residents group are keeping an eye on their local area to ensure all the new housing developments are in keeping with ‘neighborhood character’.

All 60 trees were planted by L. Mahon who writes ‘Most of the plants have done really well. We deep ripped first to give them a good start. We are very happy with them, thank you kindly to Fifteen Trees.  Sincerely – Lisa’

Not sure what ‘deep ripped’ is … but I’m sure Lisa knows what she is doing!

300 TREES PLANTED

April 29, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.

We have a handful of organisations and small companies, who purchase trees when they can. These people are masters of ingenuity when it comes to incorporating tree planting into their business practices.
