Kings Cars Trees at Ross Creek
TREES PLANTED
Peter King and his team at Kings Cars continue to assist community groups and their tree planting projects.
This time round, 225 trees were distributed to Trevor Barnett and his Landcare Group at Ross Creek. The project at the nature reserve aims to rehabilitate the land and introduce native flora and fauna back into the area.
Damascus College students helped us plant out the trees at the Ross Creek Reserve. In spite of the grim weather they did their work with great enthusiasm. Thank you Fifteen Trees and Kings Cars for allowing us to continue with this on-going project at Ross Creek. According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero.
