Peter King from King’s Cars has been supporting Fifteen Trees since 2010 and has helped plant over 4,000 trees in the Ballarat district. Peter plants 15 trees for every new Mitsubishi and Citroen car sold at his Ballarat dealership.
This month, 150 of Peter’s trees were planted at Mt Clear Primary School.

In small groups, the students planted the trees during their regular classes in between spring showers. The students also took the opportunity to take some of the protective guards off the trees planted the year before and replace any unsuccessful planting. The students are looking forward to seeing their team plants grow and beautifying their school grounds’.

More trees went to Mt Michael’s Catholic Parish Primary School at Springbank, where the teachers and students braved cold winds to plant 45 trees on National Tree Day. Teacher, Lisa McKenzie organised the day to ensure all 45 trees were well planted and protected by tree guards.
Peter, thank you for your generosity. All these trees would not have been planted without your continued support.

We have a handful of organisations and small companies, who purchase trees when they can. These people are masters of ingenuity when it comes to incorporating tree planting into their business practices.
The Kogi people of Northern Columbia have been sending the same message to the West for years. It’s a familiar refrain here at Fifteen Trees, and one we wholeheartedly endorse: ‘Unless we stop violating the Earth and nature, depleting the Great Mother of her material energy, her organs, her vitality; unless people stop working against the Great Mother, the world will not last.’
