Catering both to employers and job seekers, they have been leaders in their field for decades. With a strong nationwide network, decades of industry experience and highly passionate team members, JV Recruitment is the go-to agency for recruitment in these sectors. With corporate responsibility being more popular amongst business both small and large, it is truly heartening to see such commitment from organisations like JV Recruitment putting their talk into walk. Taking lead also sets a good example for others to follow. It’s inspiring stuff that sends positive ripples out to the community.

On Tuesday 4th October, the Kensington based company took time from the office to support a revegetation project at Westgate Park. Working with the team from Westgate Biodiversity they planted out 500 native plants and spent time weeding an area that had gone literally wild.

The team from JV.

Westgate Biodiversity is a community-based not-for-profit organisation. They grow and sell locally indigenous plants and are transforming Westgate Park into a natural, bush-like place for people to enjoy. They work to educate their members and the wider community on the importance of protecting and enhancing the natural environment, urban biodiversity, and healthy environments. They do this by planting locally indigenous plant species and encouraging volunteering and community engagement with the natural environment.

A company who love to ‘give back’.

Many thanks to the entire team for their enthusiasm for the work, they made very quick time with the planting and weeding chores they were assigned.

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.
