Planting trees for J.J. Kell.

TREES PLANTED

80

Jenny Biddy and John Kell from J.J. Kell & Son Funeral Directors (St Arnaud, Victoria) have once again supported our tree planting efforts here at Fifteen Trees by sponsoring the planting of 80 trees. The trees were distributed to groups in the St Arnaud and Donald districts of Victoria.

The Winjallok Landcare group planted 40 of the trees.  It was part of a replenishment planting in a wildlife corridor between the Sandy Creek and Avon River. Help with the planting was supplied by Bendigo TAFE Sustainable Ag. students.

The other 40 trees were planted at the Donald Golf Club. In this case, Jenny Biddy went out to help the volunteers plant the trees. The Golf Club is owned by the community. Bulokes and Box trees were planted along the fairways with some smaller species along the boundary fence.

Thank you Jenny and John for your ongoing support of our native environment.

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

March 26, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
