TREES PLANTED

Last month 120 trees were distributed to 2 groups in central Victoria. Both groups sent in lovely photos of which I’ve included here.  Two fantastic companies and some great school kids have made these plantings possible. Hello Colleen, Here is a photos of the 60 trees and shrubs that we planted, we can’t wait for them to grow.  L. Hecker. You may have to enlarge – but there are trees here.

A Gladman from Axedale writes ‘Saturday morning was spent with our young children planting the 60 trees provided through Fifteen Trees. The wattles will enhance the depleted understorey beneath the mature River Red Gums along the Axe Creek frontage. They will provide valuable habitat for a variety of native birds we spend time admiring. Thanks to those businesses that contribute to this wonderful cause’.

Beautiful setting for more trees.

A couple of companies need to be thanked here. The gorgeous on-line store Angus & Celeste chips in every quarter to enable 75 trees to be planted. Damien from Ecotreasures in Sydney has planted 15 trees on the behalf of customers he took on a bus trip to the Hunter Valley, NSW. And students from Phoenix College Ballarat, had a sausage sizzle at school last term to raise money to pay for the planting of the remainder 30 trees.

Ryan, Clancy and Jack cooking for the students at lunch time.
Amazing companies and individuals who all have joined forces to help get 120 trees planted in rural Victoria this Spring. Slainte – Colleen[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

RECENT TREE PLANTINGS

1100 TREES PLANTED

June 10, 2026
According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

April 29, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
