Hughes Renovators Paradise and Tree Planting.

TREES PLANTED

Simon Hughes from Hughes Renovators Paradise is unique in that they specialise in the sale of RECLAIMED building materials. This company encourages recycling and UP-CYCLING. Who would not want a BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED piece of history in their home. Simon also supports tree planting through Fifteen Trees. Every year, I plant 90 trees for Renovators Paradise. This year, his trees have gone to a small rural primary school in Nullawil (Western Victoria, around 3 hours from Melbourne). Hello Colleen, Your contribution assisted Nullawil Progress Association’s ‘Environmental Education for Community Project,’ funded through the ‘Communities for Nature’ program by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP). The project aims to increase ecological diversity within the Nullawil area, to engage both community members and students of Nullawil Primary School, and to achieve a level of enthusiasm, respect and understanding towards the importance of conservation. Love the pink suit.
Love the matching pink boots.
Each student took pride in planting a single pine tree each which they can put their name to and continue to nurture into the future. They were taught how to plant and guard the trees and shrubs and will continue maintenance such as watering, mulching and weeding of vegetation as part of their school program. Everyone involved enjoyed a fun filled, educational and very rewarding afternoon.  On behalf of the Nullawil Primary School and Nullawil Progress Association, thank you, we fully appreciate your contribution towards the success of this project. Bree-Anna Poyner | Secretary | Nullawil Progress Association Inc. hrp-logo Renovators Paradise’s passion for beautiful recycled building materials can be seen on their website and it is great to see all the products they have saved from landfill. Huge thank you Hughes! Slainte – Colleen[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Quality People and Training Solutions (QPTS) are always looking for ways in which they can care for people. As well as ways to care for the planet.

2100 TREES PLANTED

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in. (Feature image from Mt Worth Landcare).

Individual actions really do matter! Individually we can really only make small differences to the world around us, but collectively our numbers add up. And if enough individuals are involved then forests can be grown!
