Trees as a kickstarter!

TREES PLANTED

Hindmarsh Plumbing Services has been in operation since 1973 and provide employment to over 200 South Australians. They are big players in giving back to their community and they currently support groups such as Cara Respite, Puddle Jumpers and Arthritis SA. Now they have joined Fifteen Trees and are supporting local community landcare projects in SA. Purchasing 300 trees for Karen Bishop and the Riverland West Landcare group, these trees will reduce the carbon footprint of 20 vehicles in their fleet.     Image result for hindmarsh logo
Riverland West Landcare in conjunction with the Australian Vintage Vineyard in Waikerie (SA) recently planted 300 native trees thanks to the generous people from Hindmarsh Plumbing Services. Employees of Australian Vintage helped lay irrigation pipes to ensure the trees recieve water over the coming summer months. Thank you to Hindmarsh for your support of this Landcare project in Waikerie. A total of 5 hectares of revegetation is being undertaken by the winery and these trees are a wonderful kick starter! We look forward to seeing the trees progress when we go back next year to do more plantings. Karen Bishop | Project Officer | Riverland West Landcare

1100 TREES PLANTED

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

April 29, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
