Golden Beach, Vic

TREES PLANTED

Hello Colleen Our group of volunteers have started to plant your trees along the boundaries of our re-vegetation project at Golden Beach and will continue to plant with working bees in the next few weeks.  In the spring, we have organised some children from the local school to plant ground covers and low shrubs to fill in between the trees. Thanks to the generosity of the Fifteen Trees supporters in helping to keep our project on track. Regards  Merrilynne Hayes (Volunteer co-ordinator)   Golden Beach planting 3 Golden Beach planting 8               Merrilynne Hayes and her group of volunteers from The Open Garden Group planted out 225 trees at Golden Beach last month, due to the generous support of businesses owners such as Peter King at Kings Cars. Peter has been a long time supporter of our native environment and to date has helped with the funding of over 2000 trees. Thank you Peter for your interest and commitment. Slainte – Colleen

At the heart of every nunnery is, of course, charity. We love our partnership with the Brigidine Sisters and are impressed with their passion to give. That’s a long history of giving from these remarkable women, and we are not only benefactors of this kindness, as their other philanthropy does ripple out to myriad of other organisations as well.
