G.J. Gardner Homes Wodonga has been supporting our community tree planting projects since 2013, and in that time, we have planted 6,810 trees in the Wodonga District due to their generous support. Every year, Fifteen Trees plants 15 native trees for every new home built by the Wodonga team.
This year, Adam and Simone Gregor purchased 825 native trees for their beautiful Wodonga region in northern Victoria. The original inhabitants and traditional owners of this land near Albury and Wodonga are the Wiradjuri, Waveroo and Dhudhuroa people.
The trees were planted on Saturday 3rd September and the whole day was planned by the Mt Beauty Secondary College Year 9 Student Leadership Team with the support of the Upper Kiewa Landcare. The group, through community action helps to preserve, protect and enhance the environment of the Kiewa River catchment by working with community groups, government agencies and local businesses to achieve improved natural resource management outcomes
The students did an excellent job, the plants were planted in an area which was prepared by the Alpine Shire along the Kiewa River Trail. This year’s plantings together with last year’s plantings will create a bird and wildlife corridor and refuge along the West Kiewa River. Already last years trees are approaching 3 metres tall.
Once again, our thanks to the team at G.J Gardiner Wodonga for the supply of trees and making this possible.

G.J. Gardner’s core business is building homes. Safe, secure places for families to grow and thrive for many years to come. We love that alongside this G.J. Gardner is planting forests, which is very much the same thing; safe, secure places for fauna and flora to grow and thrive for many years to come.
Huge thank you to Adam and Simone for your 9 year commitment to our tree planting projects.
