Tree Planting Day at the Hopkins Falls was held on Sunday, 29thJuly at Wangoom in Southwest Victoria in conjunction with National Tree Day. We had 22 volunteers coming together to help plant around 450 trees/grasses with focus on the areas near the main viewing platform and a side hill on track to bottom of Falls. Many thanks to all those that come along in wet & windy conditions. We all enjoyed a BBQ afterwards, so a very successful day. Also big thank-you to GJ Gardner Homes for their donation of 375 trees for the day. Jane O’Beirne | Secretary | Hopkins Falls Landcare GroupBig shout out to G.J. Gardner Homes for their continued support of our native environment. Over 30 community groups across Victoria and Tasmania are delighted to have access to locally grown trees for their tree planting projects. With maintenance and care from the local community over the summer months those trees will thrive. Investing in your community is a great way to give back to those who have helped support your business. Volunteer groups and non-profit organizations do so much to help the communities that all of us are a part of, but they can’t do it alone. If you are in business, now is a great time to contact us to find out more. We are right in the middle of tree planting season … your trees could very well be planted by the end of the month.
