National Tree day was celebrated at the Hopkins Falls, Sunday 31st July at Wangoom in Southwest Victoria on Sunday with around 40 volunteers coming together to help plant around 700 trees/grasses, weeding and spreading of mulch was also achieved. Many thanks to all those that come along and the large group of wonderful girl guides & families. We all enjoyed a BBQ afterwards, a very successful day in all with lots of sunshine appreciated by all those who attended. Also big thank-you to GJ Gardner Homes and Moyne Shire Council for their donation of trees for the day. Jane O’Beirne | HOPKINS FALLS LANDCARE GROUPThank you Andrew and the team from GJG for your continued support of our native environment. For many years now, your trees have been planted at the one site at Hopkins Falls. What a wonderful legacy. Slànte – Colleen
