Ross Morley, Managing Director of G. J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our native environment (through Fifteen Trees) since 2013 and has now helped plant over 44,000 trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district. This year alone, the relationship between GJG and Fifteen Trees, will see over 11,000 trees planted by schools, landcare and various environmental groups.
G.J. Gardner Homes, through Fifteen Trees, kindly donated 240 trees to Swan Hill Rural City Council to plant out the Blackwire Reserve adjacent to Swan Hill’s new solar farm near Swan Hill Landfill. These plants will provide shade, ecological services and reduce impacts of wind. The plants were ordered through Mildura Native Nursery, which was very helpful in providing the plants. Their help was greatly appreciated. The Lake Boga Scout Group worked hard and enthusiastically to establish over 500 plants over the course of the day and were kept fueled with free food and drinks including hot chocolate and pizza. Samuel Steel | Senior Environment Officer | Swan Hill Rural City CouncilThank you to Darren and Bronwyn for your continuous support over the past 6 years. Our tree planting projects are always expanding because of the support from businesses such as GJG and it is wonderful to be able to offer trees to local councils and community groups. It is also wonderful to be able to support local independant native plant nurseries like Mildura Native Nursery. Sláinte – Colleen
