Pat Menzies from G. J. Gardner Homes Whittlesea is a generous supporter of local community groups and their tree planting projects. This year, Pat purchased 180 trees for Chris Cobern and his Upper Goulburn Landcare Network. The trees were planted at the Stoney Creek Reserve.

Eighteen people attended and planted 180 plants including 40 of the rare Round-leaf Pomaderris. The planting was undertaken to improve the habitat for wildlife in an area of the reserve that was previously overrun with Blackberry and other weeds.
The Stony Creek Reserve is a small but important reserve. The dense and ferny understorey, many fallen hollow logs and large old trees provide ideal habitat for many native animals including the rare Brush-tailed Phascogale, Long-nosed Bandicoots and the native Bush Rat.
Thank you very much to Fifteen Trees and GJ Gardner Homes for their support.
