Tatyoon Reserve (Vic).

TREES PLANTED

On Tuesday 29th July at Tatyoon Recreational Reserve (Ararat) a community planting day took place in which 390 native trees were planted. These trees were replacing the old pine trees that were well past their ‘use by dates’. Kids from Maroona Primary School attended along with Sally and Ashley Heard from G.J Gardner Homes Ararat. Sally and Ashley very kindly donated the funds to enable the Upper Hopkins Landcare Group (UHLG) to source the trees (from local nursery Manna Gums). Una Allender from the UHLG writes .. ‘conditions were perfect on the day, rain fell a few days later, so the young trees had a great start to life‘. Thank you to GJG for your on-going support of our local native environment. Your contribution allowed an additional 390 trees to be planted. Slainte – Colleen comp IMG_0092comp_IMG_0094                  [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

400 TREES PLANTED

David Cook-Doulton and Martin Shew always thought regional towns of Ballarat and Bendigo had a world-class feel. They could see it in the wide streets, the grand buildings and beautiful botanical gardens. And so two world-class hotels were created – Hotel Vera (Ballarat) and Hotel Ernest (Bendigo). Both hotels link luxury with environmental awareness as part of ‘true luxury, founded upon environmental integrity’.
