Community spirit at G.J. Gardner East Gippsland.

TREES PLANTED

Ross Morley, Managing Director of G.J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our native environment (through Fifteen Trees) since 2013 and has now helped plant over 44,000 trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district.

This year alone the project will see over 11, 310 trees planted by schools, landcare and various environmental groups.

Team building brings people together by encouraging teamwork. Fun activities that help people see each other in a different light allow them to connect in different settings. One of the best reasons for team building is that the activities actually work to accomplish improved communication. A successful team building activity, will surely mean a more comfortable, successful workplace environment for any company. And when you combine team building and volunteer work (such as tree planting) – well you are ticking all boxes!!

Michael and Helen Ellett from G.J. Gardner East Gippsland understands the importance of team building activities. Last month, Helen headed out with their team to distribute and plant 435 trees with Tambo Bluff Landcare Coastcare and the wider Tambo Bluff Community.
The G.J. Gardner Homes local franchise principals Michael and Helen Ellett and staff commit to planting 15 trees for every home they build (through the agency of Fifteen Trees). Not only have they once again provided the funds to us for plants, they have taken time off from their work to come out and put in some hard slog helping us get those plants in the ground. Very much appreciated. Thank you Michael and Helen.  Maurice Burns | Secretary | Tambo Bluff Landcare Coastcare

Indeed, many thanks to Michael and Helen for your continued support of our native environment. Another 435 trees have been planted in this beautiful part of Victoria thanks to your generosity. If you too are interested in community team building activities that also have a positive effect on the earth,  please contact us. Sláinte – Colleen

1100 TREES PLANTED

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
