Ross Morley, Managing Director of G. J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our NATIVE ENVIRONMENT since 2013 and in that time has HELPED PLANT 1000’s of trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district. This year, the project will see over 7,000 trees planted by SCHOOLS, landcare and various ENVIRONMENTAL groups.
Rob McMaster from G.J Gardner Homes Ballarat is a generous supporter of local community groups and their tree planting projects. This year, Rob purchased 1065 trees for his community. The trees were planted across 3 separate sites. Sarah Page planted 370 trees at St Francis Xavier Primary School, Louise-Jane Cunningham planted 595 trees with the Leigh Creek Landcare Network and Allison Pearce planted 100 trees on the road-side reserve near her home in Buninyong,

Rob McMaster and Lisa Dark from GJG visited Villa Primary School on their Tree Planting Day. They spent a morning with Sarah & the students, digging holes, planting trees & securing them with the bamboo sticks (and the new trees certainly needed it, as it was extremely windy on the day). Lisa wrote “It was so lovely to see the children really enjoying themselves and learning with Sarah as they planted”.

From the Leigh Creek group, Louise-Jane wrote ” A massive thank you to G.J. Gardner Homes Ballarat and Fifteen Trees. When we moved to our farm in 2008 we designated an area that would be home to many thousands of trees. Although unfortunately we didn’t realise quite how many trees we had room for. Luckily Fifteen Trees and GJ Gardner homes Ballarat came to our rescue, and enabled us to plant 595 trees this year. The planting has already made a big difference to the area we wish to fill up with trees. The site sits among trees that we have been planting since 2012, so it really complements our existing plantings.Thank you so much for all your support. We couldn’t have done it without you!”

And finally, some photos from the planting site at Buninyong. Over the years, Allison has been the recipient of many trees from G.J. Gardner. She has sent in photos from a few years ago to show us how she is re-vegetating the entire roadside reserve in her neighbourhood. The native wildlife is loving the Pearce family.

‘Sometimes there are really simple things everyone can do to reduce their carbon footprint. When staying at a hotel, choosing to skip the room cleaning and having a tree planted instead, is one of those things’. Hugo from Hotels for Trees.
‘We’re thrilled to team up with Fifteen Trees in this crucial effort. Koalas are an iconic Australian species, and with increasing threats to their natural environment, it’s never been more important to ensure they have access to suitable habitats.Planting these trees is just the beginning of a broader initiative to safeguard their future’. Ballarat Wildlife Park
According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.
