Dominion Legal is a Perth based firm with expertise across a broad range of practice areas, from health law through to venture capitalism. It prides itself on adding value by establishing genuine working relationships, connecting all the dots, and finding the best outcome for its clients.

Dominion is also rightly proud of its active pro-bono and community participation program. Currently, Dominion Legal provides support to Perth’s homeless, as well as pro-bono assistance to For the Love of Wildlife. This not-for-profit organisation works tirelessly to improve the lost connection between humans and wildlife, including through advocacy around ending wild animal farming, ending trafficking in endangered animals, and slowing the extinction rate.

On top of all that, Dominion has partnered with Fifteen Trees to plant 100 trees in 2020 to help reduce the environmental impact of its business activities. This is definitely a law firm with its heart in the right place!

Dominion’s trees were planted on a property in Esperance, WA. Landowner Dorothy Henderson is in the midst of a long-term tree-planting project. She aims to re-establish habitat for native birds and wildlife on areas of the property made vulnerable by many years of neglect. She has already turned parts of the property into a haven for threatened species, and Dominion’s trees have enabled her to continue the project in a year where it has been difficult to maintain momentum.

Esperance is located on the south coast of Western Australia. It is a beautiful district with white sand beaches, wildflower reserves and a national park called Cape Le Grand. Fifteen Trees has been working with Dorothy Henderson and this district for many years, helping the family to re-vegetate the property with native shrubs and trees. Longtime lovers of all things native, the Henderson’s are creating a wonderful ecosystem that encourages wildlife to return to the area.

Trees obtained through supporters of Fifteen Trees have enabled us to continue our program of tree planting in vulnerable areas on our property, particularly at a time when funding via other sources is difficult to obtain. Without these trees, our property would not be the habitat for birds and other wildlife that it is now. Although there is plenty more to be done, we are so excited by what has been achieved so far.

We have planted species such as Eucalyptus occidentals (swamp mate), Acacia myrleforlia (myrtle wattle), Acacia cyclops (coastal wattle), Acacia saligna (WA golden wattle) and Melaleuca cuticularis (saltwater paperbark).

At Fifteen Trees, we are experts in connection. We connect sponsors with land, landowners with nurseries, and everyone involved with community and volunteer planting groups. It really does take a village to raise a forest, and we are so pleased that Dominion has joined ours.

1100 TREES PLANTED

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

April 29, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
