Diversified running a green(er) AWRE.

TREES PLANTED

Diversified Communications have decided to make their next Australian Waste & Recycling Exhibition (AWRE) a light (carbon) footprint event by providing 100 trees to a community group for planting. Working with Fifteen Trees, trees were distributed to Manor Lakes Secondary College, Wyndham Vale, where the students planted the native trees on their school grounds. Manor Lakes is participating in the AuSSI Vic / Resource Smart 5 star accreditation process and are keen to make a difference to the sustainability of their local area. Planting 100 trees, takes them further along the pathway to a sustainable school plus the trees make for a great habitat area for native insects, mammals and birds. A huge thank you to Pedro Gallo who contacted Fifteen Trees. AWRE  is happening this August in Melbourne and is a significant event that pulls together the ‘movers and shakers‘ of the waste and recycling industry. 400 TREES PLANTED

David Cook-Doulton and Martin Shew always thought regional towns of Ballarat and Bendigo had a world-class feel. They could see it in the wide streets, the grand buildings and beautiful botanical gardens. And so two world-class hotels were created – Hotel Vera (Ballarat) and Hotel Ernest (Bendigo). Both hotels link luxury with environmental awareness as part of ‘true luxury, founded upon environmental integrity’.
