Christina Cavaco is the founder of a start up online business named Cork Leaf which produces an eco-friendly cork yoga mat. Cork bark is a natural and sustainable resource, and no trees are harmed in the production of cork (yay!). Cork Leaf are passionate about inspiring customers to practice naturally, on and off the mat. So, a partnership has evolved and Fifteen Trees now plants one tree for every CORK LEAF yoga mat sold. One mat = one tree.

The first planting of Cork Leaf’s trees (30) has taken place at Manor Lakes College. The school is participating in the AuSSI Vic / Resource Smart 5 star accreditation process and are keen to make a difference to the sustainability of their local area. Planting trees, takes them further along the pathway to a sustainable school plus the trees make for a great habitat area for native insects, mammals and birds. Manor Lakes planted 150 trees on the day, of which 30 came from Cork Leaf.
Thank you Christina for finding Fifteen Trees (no mean feat). I look forward to practicing my asana on one of your mats.

‘We are very grateful for the financial support provided this year. It has assisted us with planting native trees in a very cold windswept area that was calling out for plants. These trees will make life much more pleasant for wildlife and humans too – thank you’. Land Conservatory, TAS.
