A community tree planting project resulted in five hundred native trees, shrubs and grasses planted in the Buloke region in NW Victoria, all thanks to the members in Bodhi Meditation Australia on behalf of Grandmaster JinBodhi.
Grandmaster JinBodhi embarked on an amazing journey, 30 years ago.
Founding Bodhi Meditation with the goal of bringing health and happiness to people all over the world through teaching easy-to-learn meditation practices, Grandmaster JinBodhi has remained committed to this great vow, and Bodhi Meditation has now spread to over 50 countries and regions.
Growing all over the world, in places including the United States, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Australia, people are experiencing what they describe as miracles: lifelong afflictions disappeared, a renewed sense of spirit and peace of mind, and protection from life-threatening injuries. Through continued practice of meditation guided by Grandmaster JinBodhi, anyone may overcome their physical and mental challenges. If you ask anyone who has had experience at Bodhi Meditation, they may share touching stories.
Grandmaster JinBodhi’s 30 years of Dharma teaching is for one purpose – to lead us, the fortunate sentient beings, to brightness, to regain health and to find purpose in our lives. This purpose has remained unchanged for 30 years.
Bodhi Meditation Australia is located in Ringwood and they have contributed to the successful planting of 1,000 trees in the Buloke region, North Western Victoria in the heart of the state’s wheat belt. Recipients of the gift of trees from the altruistic members of Bodhi Meditation Melbourne include the likes of Adam & Tam from Mount Jeffcott. Having moved from Ballarat in 2020 looking for a simpler lifestyle, the couple renovated a magnificent old homestead near the mountain. Wanting to increase native species to create bio-links for local animals plus improve the landscape’s health in a rather treeless property was their true desire.
Species include the locally named Buloke, several varieties of acacia, grey and black box, and yellow gums, as well as some smaller species that native wildlife is so heavily reliant on. This all came about from the aligned passion to renew the land, with the members of Bodhi Meditation Australia.
More trees were planted by Bron and Dave (and their two young children) near Fenton’s Creek in North-Central Victoria. The young family are developing and managing their property sustainably, and preservation and enhancement of the ecosystems is a priority. They planted a mix of Grey Box and Yellow Gum to help restore areas that had been previously cleared. With plans to further revegetate the property in future, the resident birds and mammals (including antechinus and echidna) will be very grateful!
Another story of hope and humans combining effort with hard work to ensure for a better planet.
Trees represent ‘Alive, Energy, Hope & Longevity’, by planting trees may everyone receive auspiciousness and good health. To have a happy wonderful life. Thank you Diana Chan and the members of Bodhi Meditation Melbourne for your support of our Australian community tree planting projects.
