TREES PLANTED

Second Tuesday Book Club (Tuesday March 12th 2013) I’ve got book club on tonight and I have to say sometimes it is the highlight of my week. This month, we all read ‘In My Skin’. We have a very ferocious leader, who will not let us digress from the discussion questions until the champagne has been drunk and the dips have been devoured (funnily this always occurs right on 10.00pm) and tea has been served. Judy and Lisa. Judy and Lisa. We have a strict ritual for the evening and the smokers take themselves outside when Lisa gives the nod. Every so often (after a particularly boring book) someone will say ‘lets go to the movies next month instead of having a book club meeting‘, we all agree … and then nothing comes of it. Our books come from our local library,  some of us knit or sew during the discussions and very often the discussion will turn to green related topics. We all worry about our beautiful Earth. Sometimes, it is nice to just sit and talk and solve some of the world’s problems over tea and cake (not always homemade) but always served up beautifully. Slainte – Colleen

For hotels, embracing sustainability can strengthen brand loyalty, enhance their reputation, and help differentiate them in a competitive market. In this way, sustainable initiatives are not just good for the planet – they also make strong business sense, creating a win-win for hotels, their guests, and the communities and ecosystems they support.

300 TREES PLANTED

March 26, 2026
There’s something quietly powerful about a person who decides, on their own, to do something good for the planet. No fanfare, no corporate mandate – just a simple choice to put a few trees in the ground. When hundreds of individuals make that same choice, something remarkable happens. Native forests are restored, wildlife corridors are rebuilt, and community groups across Australia get to do the work they love. So if you’ve ever purchased trees through Fifteen Trees, thank you.
