Ash Grunwald has been described as ‘an advocate purely and simply of the Earth’. Last year his fans were given the opportunity to take action for the earth too – alongside enjoying Ash’s musical offerings. Anyone purchasing a concert ticket through Moshtix could, at the same time, purchase a tree.
Ash’s musical heritage spans hemispheres and continents. A commitment to those global influences, local action, and life-long appreciation of the natural world provides the foundation of Ash’s APRA award-winning sound. He’s an artist with his soul in the blues and his heart in the sea. It’s not surprising that he’s also a passionate advocate for the environment.
We love it when influential people do good things. We need our musicians, our artists and creatives, the people who inspire us, to stand at the forefront of the fight against climate change.
It’s been great to partner with Ash and Moshtix and give concert-goers the opportunity to purchase trees. As a result, 60 trees were planted at Campbell’s Bridge in Victoria, and another 60 at Barfold, VIC . They’re in the ground now, drawing in CO2, pushing out oxygen, providing habitat for tiny creatures. These trees germinated from one person’s efforts to advocate for the earth, from multiple small gestures somewhere in cyberspace, and from a swell of willingness to take responsibility for our own impact. As another Australian musical legend famously sang, ‘from little things, big things grow…’.
Here at Fifteen Trees, we are always happy to have a chat about the best way to incorporate sustainability into your life. We can help you to connect with the broader community and reduce some of your personal environmental impacts. If interested, please contact Melinda at <[email protected]>.

Fifteen Trees acknowledges Indigenous Australians as the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, live and play.
We recognise that Indigenous Australians have cared for and lived in harmony with this land for millennia, and their knowledge and wisdom of the land endures.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and stand in solidarity as Indigenous Australians seek a fairer and more sustainable future for the land and its people.
