This planting took place in on a residential block in Flowerdale that was destroyed in the 2009 fire. The trees donated by AGA have been used to create a screen along a fence line as habitat for native insects and birds. Previously there had been a pittosporum hedge (a species that readily escapes into the bush), so thanks AGA. The seedlings planted on this site are all indigenous to the area. Steve Joblin | Flowerdale Landcare CoordinatorThis year, Fifteen Trees and our supporters have provided Steve and his Landcare team with over 3,000 native trees for their re-vegetation projects. Numbers add up so thank you AGA for your 75 trees. We are delighted to have been able to help out Flowerdale after the devastating fires in 2009. Restoring Australian ecosystems. Supporting communities with their revegetation projects for a greener and healthier planet.
Fifteen Trees acknowledges Indigenous Australians as the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, live and play.
We recognise that Indigenous Australians have cared for and lived in harmony with this land for millennia, and their knowledge and wisdom of the land endures.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and stand in solidarity as Indigenous Australians seek a fairer and more sustainable future for the land and its people.
