GJG Wodonga. A decade of support.

‘Thank you to Adam and Simone and the entire GJG team at Wodonga for the plants which you have provided us. You have enabled the rehabilitation of a seriously degraded landscape along the Upper Kiewa River’. Upper Kiewa Landcare.

TREES PLANTED

675

G.J. Gardner Homes Wodonga has been supporting our community tree planting projects since 2013, and in that time, we have planted 7,485 trees in the Wodonga District due to their generous support. Every year, Fifteen Trees plants 15 native trees for every new home built by the Wodonga team.

This year, Adam and Simone Gregor purchased 675 native trees for their beautiful Wodonga region in northern Victoria. The original inhabitants and traditional owners of this land near Albury and Wodonga are the Wiradjuri, Waveroo and Dhudhuroa people.

The trees were planted by the Upper Kiewa Landcare Group along the West Kiewa River and were a mixture of native plants indigenous to the district. They included; Ovens Wattle, Silver Wattle, Blackwood Wattle, Swamp Gum, Kunzia, Poa Grass and Carex Sedge. This planting will provide a wildlife corridor for native birdlife such as native parrots, kookaburras, Wrens, Finches and Whip Birds. The area is also home to platypus, tortoises, snakes, lizards, possums and of course Kangaroos.

Thank you to Adam and Simone and the entire GJG team at Wodonga for the plants which you have provided us. You have enabled the rehabilitation of a seriously degraded landscape along the Upper Kiewa River and provided a pleasing outlook along the Kiewa River Trail which the walkers and riders appreciate.

G.J. Gardner’s core business is building homes. Safe, secure places for families to grow and thrive for many years to come. We love that alongside this G.J. Gardner is planting forests, which is very much the same thing; safe, secure places for fauna and flora to grow and thrive for many years to come.

Huge thank you to Adam and Simone for your 10 year commitment to our tree planting projects.
