GJG are outstanding in the field!

TREES PLANTED

Ross Morley, Managing Director of G. J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our native environment (through Fifteen Trees) since 2013 and has now helped plant over 44,000 trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district. This year alone the project will see over 11,000 trees planted by schools, landcare and various environmental groups. Rob McMaster and Wayne Jones, co-directors from G. J. Gardner Homes Ballarat are generous supporters of local community groups and their tree planting projects. This year, the duo purchased 1350 trees for Ballarat and district. The trees went across 5 sites: Mac’s Rd (400 and 150), Lochie Andersons property (400), Wattle Flat (200) and Garibaldi (200). The Ballarat team rolled up their sleeves and attended the Mac’s Rd planting.
GJG – out standing in their field!

Hi Colleen, Here are some photo’s for the GJ Gardner Homes tree planting day that was held on the on the 27 June, 2018. This tree planting day was held as part of National Tree Planting day. The trees we planted will help enhance an existing planting site from 5 years ago. It is very important to ensure maintenance activities occur on existing sites for ongoing success. This site is of significant importance to the Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group as it is used as a demonstration site for local school groups. School groups will water and ensure the trees are maintained throughout the year. All tree stakes and guards as part of this planting were recycled. More planting.
Shout out to the team from GJG Ballarat for not only purchasing the trees but also for taking the time to go out and actually help plant with the Leigh Catchment Group. Team building activities like tree planting brings people together by encouraging teamwork. Fun activities that help people see each other in a different light allow them to connect in different settings. One of the best reasons for team building is that the activities actually work to accomplish improved communication. A successful team building activity, will surely mean a more comfortable, successful workplace environment for any company. Here’s the link to more good news about team building activities. Sláinte – Colleen
