Planting mature trees at Villa Maria.
Hi Colleen, This photo is a quick capture of one of the beautiful Cherry Trees that we planted during School’s Tree Day, as sponsored by Harrison Funerals. The students have taken great care, feeding the trees a good dose of horse manure, compost and mulching with pea straw. They’ve even used a little of our ‘worm juice’ on them. The other fruiting varieties that we planted in the arbor are also beginning to spring into spring. Thank you once again Colleen for helping us on our sustainability journey and for helping us to build such great relationships with local businesses. Sarah Page. Environmental Teacher. St Francis Xavier. Ballarat Marie and Brian Harrison from Harrison Funerals have been long time supporters of our environment and to date have helped plant over 100 mature trees throughout our region. Trees have gone to many school groups and community gardens where they now provide shade and beauty to playgrounds, gardens and reserves. Thank you Marie and Brian for your ongoing interest and commitment. Slainte – Colleen         [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
