TREES PLANTED

Fifteen Trees is very excited to announce the inclusion of Flexicar to our supporters group. The new marketing manager of the car share company, Simon Bracken, was very keen to reduce the fleet’s carbon emissions. Didn’t even have to resort to my chinese-burn. Car sharing for metro people is a great alternative to car ownership and taking the number of cars off the road has to be good  for our air supply.

The first 75 trees were planted by The Friends of Westgate Reserve. Tony Flude (co-coordinator) writes – “Friends of Westgate Park planted out the trees (coast Banksia) along the Yarra, not far upstream from where the river flows into Port Phillip Bay”.  [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”]
A fabulous volunteer planting trees to improve the reserve under the West Gate Bridge.
Thank you Simon and Monique Conheady (founder of Flexicar- who pointed me towards Simon) for your support of our native urban environment Slainte – Colleen[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

‘Nature is not a place to visit, it is a home that we all belong to, so it’s only fitting to give back’. This is a quote we heard a long time ago and it’s something that stuck with us and something we try to live by. Mark and Karyn Pemmelaar.
