Chinaman’s Crossing.

TREES PLANTED

Hello Colleen, The Swanpool Landcare Group had a successful tree planting season, planting trees and understorey plants downstream of Chinaman’s Crossing.  The plantings were on both banks of the Lima East Creek.  The west bank was steep and the eastern side flat.  The 150 trees kindly donated by Fifteen Trees were therefore chosen to suit these two conditions. We planted Taller yellow box, peppermints, red box eucalypts, river red gums, blackwoods and mountain swamp gums.

Thanks very much for your support.  It really helps to know that there are many like-minded people in the community i.e. people who love to see trees growing!  Regards Ian Herbert.

The 150 trees planted at Chinaman’s Crossing (there must be a story behind that name) was generously paid for by John Toman, who told me that he was giving his tax return to Fifteen Trees to have some trees planted on his behalf. Thank you John for your continued support of Fifteen Trees. When you return to Australia, I shall email a map to you so you can find your way to Chinaman’s Crossing to see your trees.

Cheers – Colleen
