TREES PLANTED
Shayne Westblade from Ballarat Stationers was one of the first business managers I approached when I begun Fifteen Trees 18 months ago. His enthusiastic response encouraged me to continue with the idea of approaching companies to carbon offset their cars by supplying trees to Landcare and landowners.
Shayne carbon offset his 5 work vehicles with Fifteen Trees and as a result 75 trees have been planted. Sixty at Turlyndale (letter below) and another fifteen were give to the students at Lumen Christi Primary school (Delacombe) for their tree planting day.

We have planted the trees in two locations to supplement other plantings and we are trying to link our trees to give the native birds a connection with some remnant vegetation that exists about our property. The first 20 trees have been planted now for about 3 – 4 weeks and appear to be doing quite well. The last 40 were planted last week end and as you will see by the photo we have put both mulch and an old tyre about the trees to try and protect them from rabbits, etc.
