Bellarine Rail Trail (Vic)

TREES PLANTED

735

More trees from G.J. Gardner Homes – this time from Rohan Smith and Paul Delgallo (Geelong) have donated 735 trees to their local landcare group at the Bellarine Peninsula.

The Bellarine Rail Trail is located at the Queenscliffe entrance of Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne. The trail is important because it helps to link a continuous indigenous vegetation corridor between Geelong and Queenscliffe. This is a distance of almost 30km. The corridor also helps protect sensitive Coastal Saltmarsh vegetation as well as Swan Bay (a wetland of international significance).

The site is managed by Bellarine Catchment Network, Queenscliff Community Nursery, Swan Bay Environmental Association and the Borough of Queenscliffe.

Thank you to Rohan and the team at GJG Geelong for continuing to support our native environment and for also heading out on planting day to ensure there were plenty of hands to help plant.

Slainte – Colleen
