TREES PLANTED

‘Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my tree today’. Martin Luther  Hi Colleen, We have planted the trees we got through Fifteen Trees at Ross Creek. Our Landcare members and friends prepared the sites and the trees were planted on National Tree Day 31st July 2011. They were obtained from Matt Pywell at Ballarat Wildplants and will be well looked after by our Landcare group.   With thanks –  Rosemary Barnett Rosemary’s Landcare group were able to plant these trees (150)  due to the generous support of Andre Agterhuis at Integra. Andre has carbon offset his fleet of 10 cars and has joined the forward thinking companies of Australia who put ‘looking after our environment’ onto their agendas and into their policies.  Andre has entered into a 3 year partnership with Fifteen Trees to help reduce Integra’s carbon footprint. We are now into the second year of this partnership and Integra has helped fund the planting of 300 trees in the Ballarat district. The number of trees planted with the assistance of Fifteen Tree supporters – 4155

‘Nature is not a place to visit, it is a home that we all belong to, so it’s only fitting to give back’. This is a quote we heard a long time ago and it’s something that stuck with us and something we try to live by. Mark and Karyn Pemmelaar.
