Delacombe Primary School.

TREES PLANTED

Delacombe Primary School students were delighted to receive 20 mature trees for their school grounds. Through Fifteen Trees, Brian and Maree Harrison (Harrison Funerals) generously donate one mature tree for every funeral service they conduct at their Main Rd, Ballarat funeral premises. Tree planting Since 2009, the Harrisons have helped 20 community groups plant over 250 mature trees. Huge thank you to Brian and Maree for allowing schools such as Delacombe Primary to enhance their school grounds with beautiful native and exotic trees. In years to come, these students will be sitting in the shade cast from your trees. Slainte – Colleen

According to Sustainability Victoria, the average Australian lifestyle produces 15,000kg of carbon per year. If that sounds like a lot, it is! Over its lifetime, a tree can collect and store 268kg. This means, we each need to plant 58 trees per year to bring our individual carbon production down to zero. A little tricky for most of us to do in our own backyards, and this is where ‘A Subscription for the Planet’ comes in.
