AGA and Fifteen Trees.

TREES PLANTED

AGA is a not-for-profit company providing assistance to those in apprentice and trainee vocations. They support both the apprentice and the employer for the duration of the training period. They are also a company that supports our native environment by providing trees to rural Landcare groups via Fifteen Trees.   AGA_Apprenticeships_Plus This year, AGA continues to reduce the carbon emissions of their fleet with Fifteen Trees. Twenty vehicles @ 15 trees per car = 300 trees. Flowerdale Landcare was the grateful recipient of AGA trees. This dynamic group of landowners were delighted to receive more trees for their ongoing re-generation projects. ‘Hello Colleen. On Friday 28th of August, a group of National Australia Bank volunteers planted 300 tree seedlings in Flowerdale. This re-vegetation project was along the creek bank and the surrounding hills. The trees will contribute to bank stabilisation and provide habitat for insects that form part of the diet of the endangered Macquarie Perch that breed in this district. Thank you to AGA for your assistance in helping us to replant this beautiful district after the 2009 bush fires’.  Steve Joblin | Coordinator | Flowerdale Landcare. Thank you to Poul Bottern and Mark Knox for your generosity. AGA’s trees (300) have been planted as part of a bigger project in the Murrindindi district. Thank you also to Leah Crellin. The woman who helps keep us all stay connected. Slainte – Colleen      [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

400 TREES PLANTED

David Cook-Doulton and Martin Shew always thought regional towns of Ballarat and Bendigo had a world-class feel. They could see it in the wide streets, the grand buildings and beautiful botanical gardens. And so two world-class hotels were created – Hotel Vera (Ballarat) and Hotel Ernest (Bendigo). Both hotels link luxury with environmental awareness as part of ‘true luxury, founded upon environmental integrity’.
