We don’t like to forget the birds, bees and butterflies.

TREES PLANTED

Ross Morley, Managing Director of G. J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our native environment (through Fifteen Trees) since 2013 and has now helped plant over 44,000 trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district. This year alone the project will see over 11, 000 trees planted by schools, landcare and various environmental groups. Steve and Rebecca Moore from G. J. Gardner Homes Melbourne East are generous supporter of local community groups and their tree planting projects. This year, the Melbourne team purchased 270 trees for National Wattle Day at Fairpark Reserve in Ferntree Gully. They then went out to help plant!

This event was held on Wattle Tree day an annual event in Knox. Attended by 35 volunteers from Friends of Blind Creek Billabong, members of the public, Knox Mayor, local councillors, G.J.Gardner Homes, Knox Bushland officers and the local Fire brigade – who watered the trees both before & after planting. The trees and shrubs will enhance the natural values along the creek and making it a more attractive place to walk. Of course, I don’t like to forget the birds, bees and butterflies which will all benefit from this planting. This will be an amenity enjoyed by all. A big thanks to all at Fifteen Trees and G.J Gardner for their support in this project. Fay Rimmer | Coordinator | Friends of Blind Creek Billabong

Thank you to Fay for finding us such a wonderful site for our trees. Both G.J. Gardner and Fifteen Trees are proud to play a role in the revegetation of this beautiful reserve. Sláinte – Colleen
