Kids Planting Trees!

TREES PLANTED

Ross Morley, Managing Director of G. J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our native environment (through Fifteen Trees) since 2013 and has now helped plant over 44,000 trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district. This year alone the project will see over 11, 000 trees planted by schools, landcare and various environmental groups. Ashley and Sally Heard from G. J. Gardner Homes Ararat are generous supporter of local community groups and their tree planting projects. This year, the Central Highlands team purchased 330 trees for the North Grampians region of Victoria.

Fifty students from the Horsham Primary School 298 campus participated in a plant-out with Wimmera CMA and Landcare staff on the Wimmera River at Sylvania Park east of Horsham to improve habitat linkages and protection of the riverbank.  The plant-out was held in beautiful weather conditions on 26 July, 2018 to recognise and celebrate National Schools Tree Day. Thank you to G.J. Gardner Homes and Fifteen Trees for supporting this opportunity for the students to improve their knowledge and skills in caring for their local environment.  Horsham Primary School 298 is a wonderful contributor to environmental efforts in the district.
