TREES PLANTED

Over the past year, Brisbane Ranges Landcare has received 825 trees thanks to the generous supporters of Fifteen Trees. They sourced the native seedlings from their local native nursery (Eco-Regeneration at Sutherlands Creek) and distributed them to 13 individual members of the landcare group. The last lot of trees (195) were planted by John and Denise Anderson of Batesford. John writes ‘Thank you to the supporters of Fifteen Trees for our trees, we hope to bring back native birds and help the environment in our area and your trees will enable us to do this‘. An area in desperate need of trees.
An area in desperate need of trees.
A number of people have paid for these trees. Samantha Tannahill, bought a tree for her work colleague (Emma Lucia) as a gift. Asha from Angus and Celeste periodically purchase 75 trees, one tree for every on-line sale from their amazing company (please check them out). Christine Wright bought 50 trees in memory of her dear friend Jenny Langridge (who would have turned 50 last month). Rest In Peace Jenny. That leaves us with 68 trees. These trees I have planted on the behalf of the wonderful 68 peeps who came to our Green Drinks trivia night in Ballarat on World Environment Day (June 5th). Green Drinks is an international event held in pubs and cafes around the world. See if you have one in your neighbourhood. photo(10)photo(9) copy             Can’t find one? Then, do what we did – start your own. Slainte – Colleen[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

We cannot do without trees nor bees. Ana and Sven from Amber Drop Honey, recognise that we are all interconnected, and that there is no future in taking without giving back.
